How many nodes are required in a QuTS MEGA cluster?

Details

You need a minimum of 3 nodes to form a QuTS MEGA cluster. Additionally, there are minimum node role requirements:

Management (at least 3 nodes)
This role handles cluster control, monitoring, and deployment of core services.
Gateway (at least 1 node)
This role manages client connection and host services such as NFS, SMB, and object storage.
Storage (at least 3 nodes)
This role is responsible for data storage and processing I/O operations across the cluster.

Note

A single node can be assigned multiple roles.

However, to enhance data protection capabilities, we recommend at least 6 nodes in a cluster. This allows for better distribution of data across nodes, improving fault tolerance and performance in production environments.
