QNAP Launches myQNAPcloud Storage Business Beta, a Cloud Collaboration Platform for Business Teams
A unified cloud storage subscription combining personal workspaces, shared team collaboration, and enterprise-grade data protection.
Taipei, Taiwan, August 31, 2026 — QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing and storage solutions innovator, today announced the launch of myQNAPcloud Storage Business Beta, a new subscription plan designed specifically for team collaboration. With a single subscription, each team member receives a private personal storage space, while shared team spaces simplify file sharing and centralized data management across organizations. Built with enterprise-grade data protection and centralized administration in mind, myQNAPcloud Storage Business helps organizations support everyday operations—such as media production, cross-department collaboration, and remote work—while maintaining security, efficiency, and operational control.
“One year after the official release of myQNAPcloud Storage, we received strong demand from customers for a team-oriented subscription model, and we are pleased to announce its release today,” said Vivian Luo, Product Manager at QNAP. “With NAS at the core of our business, myQNAPcloud Storage Business positions cloud as a platform for data protection and effortless collaboration—extending how organizations protect, manage, and work with their data.”
Key Features of myQNAPcloud Storage Business
- Unified team workspace: Each team member has a personal space for individual work, while shared team spaces keep collaboration organized and efficient.
- Scalable & flexible: Start with a 3-user minimum (2 TB per user). Each additional user license adds 2 TB to your organization's shared storage pool, making it easy to adjust capacity as your business grows.
- Streamlined security control: Administrators can centrally manage storage usage and access permissions across the team, reducing operational complexity and risk.
- Support Office Online (Microsoft 365 for the web): Open and edit Microsoft® Word®, Excel®, and PowerPoint® files directly online, without downloading them to a local device. (Note: Support for creating Office files will be available soon.)
- Link-based sharing (Coming Soon): Securely share files with external partners using Share Link.
- Large file transfer: Transfer large files of up to 5 TB in a single share, enabling smooth delivery of media files, project data, and other large content.
- Watermark (Coming Soon): Strengthens data protection and traceability, helping organizations safeguard sensitive information with confidence.
- Safety & security: Protect data with enterprise-grade features including WORM (Write Once, Read Many), server-side encryption, and flexible access privileges.
- Data management: Improve data control with versioning, overwrite options, activity monitoring, lifecycle rules, and a recycle bin for easy recovery.
Licensing and Storage Allocation
Each myQNAPcloud Storage Business user license includes 2 TB of cloud storage, and the total available storage is calculated based on the number of licenses purchased. Organizations can flexibly purchase additional user licenses to increase total storage capacity, regardless of the number of active users.
For example, organizations requiring 20 TB of storage can purchase 10 user licenses (10 × 2 TB) even if fewer team members actively access the service. Storage usage, access permissions, and file ownership can be centrally managed to fit each organization’s team structure and operational needs.
