Can I move nas A disks to nas B?

最終更新日: 2022-06-24
Applicable Products:
  • All NAS Series

Yes, the drive can be moved from NAS A to another NAS B that already have existing drives installed, as long as there are enough drive bays available, and the NAS models are compatible for drive migration (Compatibility for NAS Migration).

You could follow the below steps to perform this:
1. Power down the source NAS A.
2. Unplug the disk from the source NAS A.
3. Log in to destination NAS B as administrator, and find Contrl Panel > Storage&Snapshot > Storage > Disks to monitor the disk status.
4. Insert the drives from the source NAS A directly without powering off destination NAS B.
5. After the disk has been detected on NAS B, go to Storage & Snapshots > Disks/VJBOD > select "Recover" then "Scan All free disks".
6. Click "Yes" when prompts, the data volume on the single disk will be detected and press Apply.
7. Once it has been restored you will get a message saying the operation has been successful.
