QNAP Launches TS-262A/TS-462A: Powered by Intel® Quad-Core CPU, 2.5GbE, and AI Recognition for the Ultimate Home and Office Storage Experience
Built-in GPU, and support for M.2 2280 SSD caching and storage expansion, delivers an all-in-one solution for storage, backup, sharing, and multimedia streaming.
Taipei, Taiwan, July 23, 2026 – QNAP® Systems, Inc., a leading computing, networking and storage solution innovator, today launched the new 2-bay TS-262A and 4-bay TS-462A NAS models, designed for home users, multimedia creators, and small offices. Users can freely choose their preferred hard drive brands, and by pairing with myQNAPcloud Storage, build a secure, flexible, and easy-to-manage hybrid cloud storage environment.
“Tailored for home and office environments, the TS-262A and TS-462A deliver high capacity and fast performance while integrating practical AI-powered smart album, video transcoding acceleration, and automated backups. These capabilities make data organization and multimedia processing easier, boosting both work productivity and entertainment efficiency,” said Eddie Chuang, Product Manager of QNAP.
Powered by an Intel® Celeron® N5095 quad-core processor (up to 2.9 GHz), the TS-262A and TS-462A feature a 2.5GbE port with performance up to 295 MB/s read/write. The built-in GPU accelerates video transcoding and 4K playback, while memory is expandable up to 16GB to meet multitasking and multimedia streaming needs. Users can install two M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs to create an SSD storage pool or enable caching without sacrificing 3.5-inch drive bays. Both models support connecting the TL-D800C or TR-004/002 USB enclosures, providing flexible storage scalability to handle massive multimedia and work data. With USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) ports, users can achieve faster external backups, and immediately activate 16GB of free myQNAPcloud Storage to build a secure and flexible hybrid cloud architecture.
The TS-262A and TS-462A use the QTS 5.2 operating system, and support a wide range of applications, including:
- QuMagie: An AI-powered photo management app that automatically recognizes faces, places, and subjects, making it easy to organize and search large photo libraries.
- Qfile Pro mobile app: Essential for remote NAS file access. Qfile Pro can automatically upload photos/videos from mobile devices to NAS for long-term storage.
- File Station: Centralized file management across NAS, cloud, and external storage, with sharing links and fast search capabilities.
- Hybrid Backup Sync: Enables easy local, remote, and cloud backup with scheduling, sync, version control, and encryption for maximum data protection and backup efficiency.
- Qsync: Multi-device file sync and collaboration, and backup of Windows® PCs.
- Qtier: Intelligently allocates hot and cold data to maximize storage performance and space efficiency.
- Plex Media Server: Host a Plex Media Server and seamlessly stream your media collection to multiple devices.
