Summary
A stack buffer overflow vulnerability has been reported to affect QNAP NAS running QVR Elite, QVR Pro, and QVR Guard. If exploited, this vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code.
We have already fixed this vulnerability in the following versions:
- QVR Elite 2.1.4.0 (2021/12/06) and later
- QVR Pro 2.1.3.0 (2021/12/06) and later
- QVR Guard 2.1.3.0 (2021/12/06) and later
Recommendation
To fix the vulnerability, we recommend updating QVR Elite, QVR Pro, and QVR Guard to their latest versions.
Updating QVR Elite, QVR Pro, or QVR Guard
- Log on to QTS or QuTS hero as administrator.
- Open the App Center and then click
.
A search box appears. - Enter "QVR Elite", "QVR Pro", or "QVR Guard".
The application appears in the search results. - Click Update.
A confirmation message appears.
Note: The Update button is not available if your application is already up to date. - Click OK.
The application is updated.
