QNAP TS-219P is a small and compact device, with low energy consumption and quite silent, but at the same time very complete with multiple useful functions. It is an excellent option for endusers and small offices which is a complete NAS. It is highly recommended.
It 's a server with great potential and works as a great Nas at home for backing up a computer or watch some movies through PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. The TS-219P is very fast on read and write speeds, makes it suitable as a NAS to multiple clients simultaneously, including as storage space for space-hungry HDTV broadcasts. The materials are amazing and the metal parts give it a robust and secure feeling. On the front side we can see 4 led indicators that indicate which unit we are using. The hot-swap design allows to install up to 2 SATA 3,5" hard disk (one of every bay). Data storage is becoming more and more delicate task to do. In one hand because of the bigger amounts of daily data and in the second because of the data lastingness required by the government. Qnap is producing quality NAS systems for quite a long time.QNAP TS-509 Pro already got a golden award in our IT magazine when we tested all NAS servers. Now we are reviewing TS-439 Pro and TS-219P. At TS-439 we like two ethernet interfaces, data transfer is fast, but the booting time is long almost 4 minutes. The truth is we don't usualy need to reboot it often. Even when all four disks are fully operating together with the ventilator, the noise is not too big. TS-219P is made mostly for home use, but it still supports iSCSI. The transfer speeds are almost the same as at TS-439 Pro. They are both using the same user interface and we like the additional options and expansions.

Data storage is becoming more and more delicate task to do. In one hand because of the bigger amounts of daily data and in the second because of the data lastingness required by the government. Qnap is producing quality NAS systems for quite a long time.QNAP TS-509 Pro already got a golden award in our IT magazine when we tested all NAS servers. Now we are reviewing TS-439 Pro and TS-219P. At TS-439 we like two ethernet interfaces, data transfer is fast, but the booting time is long almost 4 minutes. The truth is we don't usualy need to reboot it often. Even when all four disks are fully operating together with the ventilator, the noise is not too big. TS-219P is made mostly for home use, but it still supports iSCSI. The transfer speeds are almost the same as at TS-439 Pro. They are both using the same user interface and we like the additional options and expansions.
