How do I resolve Error 5002 during QVR Pro initial setup?

All x86 and ARM-x64 NAS series with at least 4 GB RAM
QTS 4.3.4 and later versions

Symptom

During QVR Pro initial setup, an "Unable to Install" error message (error code 5002) appears. I cannot complete the installation.

Solution

This issue is related to folder permission settings. Follow the steps below to reinstall QVR Pro.

1. Remove QVR Pro from your NAS.

2. Go to Control Panel > Privilege > Shared Folders > Advanced Permissions, and then deselect "Enable Advanced Folder Permissions."

3. Go to Control Panel > Privilege > Shared Folders > Shared Folder, and then deselect these four folders: [QVRProAppData], [QVRProAutoSnap], [QVRProDB], and [QVRProRecording].

Important

Do not select "Also delete the data" if you need to keep the original data.

4. Reinstall QVR Pro.
