How do I troubleshoot hardware issues on a QMiro router?

If you are experiencing any hardware issues on your QMiro router, try the following before troubleshooting.
- Power off the router.
- Disconnect the storage and USB devices from the router.
- Disconnect the network cables from the router.
- Connect the power cord to the DC IN input of the router.
- Connect the power adapter to the electrical outlet.NoteMake sure that the electrical outlet has power.
- Power on the router.
If you are still experiencing the same hardware issues, consult any of the following based on the issue you are experiencing with the router.
Power adapter fails to work or router cannot power on
- Power on the router.
- Check if the system status LED on the router turns green or blue.
Possible Causes
If the system status LED does not turn on, the power adapter or the router could be faulty.
Router cannot boot or boot loader failure
- Power on the router.
- Check if the router makes a short beep sound.
Possible Causes
If you do not hear a short beep alert from the router, there could be an issue with the U-boot boot loader.
Firmware flashing or firmware DOM issues
- Power on the router.
- After 2-3 minutes, check if the router makes one or three long (1.5 seconds) beeps.
Possible Causes
If the router does not generate the beep code pattern, there could be an issue with flashing the firmware or DOM failure.
Network issues
- Connect the WAN port of the router to the network.
- Connect the LAN port of the router to the computer.
- Confirm whether the WAN port LED turns orange and the LAN port LED turns green.

- Locate the router from the list.NoteIf you are unable to locate the router on the list, restart your computer and any network switch that is connected to the router.
- Select the router and click Login.
- Log into QuRouter.
Possible Causes
If the port LEDs are not functioning properly or you are unable to locate the router using Qfinder Pro, the router could be experiencing a network issue.
Drive bay failure on a QMiroPlus-201W router
- Power on the router.
- Prepare a new drive with a capacity that is the same as or larger than the failed drive.
- Remove the drive trays containing the drives one at a time from the drive bays.
- Wait for 20 seconds or until the router beeps twice.
- Remove the drives from the drive trays.
- Insert the new drives into the drive trays.NoteFor a list of compatible drive models, go to https://www.qnap.com/compatibility.
- Insert the drive trays into the drive bays.
- Press the storage button on the rear panel.
- Log in to QTS.
- Go to Storage & Snapshots > Storage Space.
- Locate the shared folder that contains the new drives and then verify if the status is Rebuilding.
- Check if the drive LED is green or flashes green.
Possible Causes
- If the drive LED is red, or flashes red, or off, the drive bays could be faulty.
- Go to Storage & Snapshots > Storage > Disks/VJBOD > Disks. If the health status or status is None or Inactive, the drive bays could be faulty.
