Important
- Virtualization Station version 4.0 downgrades are not supported to prevent potential incompatibilities.
- Backups or exports generated in Virtualization Station 4.0 enforce stricter version control. These backups will only be compatible with deployments running version 4.0 or later. Ensure compatibility before VM migration.
- Virtualization Station 4.0 prioritizes security by deprecating independent HTTP/HTTPS ports. Subsequent to the update, application access necessitates utilizing the system port.
- Functions associated with deploying Windows VMs from specific Microsoft URLs is disabled due to their deprecation by Microsoft.
- Notifications rules are reset after updating Virtualization Station to version 4.0. Recreate notification rules after the update to keep receiving app alerts.
- Virtualization Station 4.0 ceases support for vQTS. If you are currently using vQTS, back up all relevant data and files before updating the application.
Compatibility Information
- Virtualization Station version 4.0 and later is only compatible with QNAP operating systems 5.1.x and later.
