QNAP to Unlock All Qsirch Premium Features for Free, Announces Upcoming AI-Powered Search Enhancements
Taipei, Taiwan, August 12, 2025 – QNAP® Systems, Inc. today announced that starting October 1, 2025, all Qsirch Premium features will be unlocked and available to every Qsirch user at no additional cost. As part of this change, the current Qsirch Premium licensing program will be retired, ensuring that all QNAP NAS users can enjoy the full power of Qsirch’s advanced search capabilities without license restrictions.
Premium features for everyone – A better search experience
Qsirch has long been a favorite among QNAP NAS users, delivering fast, accurate full-text file searches and AI-powered smart filtering to help manage and access NAS data more efficiently. With this change, even Qsirch Lite users will gain access to all former Premium features—no license purchase required.

Qsirch 6.0 coming soon – On-prem RAG search and multi-turn conversations
QNAP also announced that Qsirch 6.0 will introduce major AI upgrades, including:

On-premises LLM models (such as DeepSeek, Gemma) integrated with RAG search

RAG multi-turn conversation capabilities

No license restrictions – upgrade to Qsirch 6.0 to use all Premium features for free
In addition to supporting cloud-based LLMs, Qsirch 6.0 will allow deployment of on-prem LLMs on high-end QNAP NAS models equipped with specific GPUs, providing stronger privacy protection and faster semantic search performance—ideal for building efficient, secure AI knowledge management platforms.
Qsirch 5.3.3 to offer all premium features for free
To accommodate users who have not yet upgraded to QTS 5.x or the latest Qsirch, QNAP will release Qsirch 5.3.3 at the end of August 2025. This version removes license restrictions, enabling users to enjoy all Premium features without having to perform multiple system upgrades.
