The NAS continually block the same PC if the NAS keeps receiving incorrect credential information from the same device. The common reasons are as the following.

  • User inputs wrong password multiple times.

  • The credential information on the NAS is updated, but still some programs use previous credentials that is no longer correct.

To resolve this issue,

  1. If a non-admin user is banned, the administrator can change the banned user password and ask user to login with new password. If admin is banned, do 3 secs reset to reset security setting.

  2. If changing password doesn't help, you can check access log in Qulog Center by the following method to further access this issue.

    1. Prepare another PC that isn't blocked.

    2. Login QTS as administrator

    3. Go to Control Panel > System > Qulog Server

    4. Find Local device

      1. Find Log Settings > Access log Setting > Connection Types
      2. Tick on All connection type
    5. Click on System Access Log and monitor the activities.

    6. Unblock the PC from the banded list by reseting the NAS.

    7. Monitor System Access log and wait for the issue to recur

From the access log, you can know When does the PC tries to access the NAS via which username through which protocol. The information can be used to determine which program on the PC tries access the NAS and get banned.
