Why does Proxy Server not block SSL/HTTPS websites with potential malware when virus scanning is enabled?

The traffic from websites using SSL/HTTPS is encrypted. Proxy Server cannot decrypt and scan the content as only the host server and the user’s web browser know what content is being transferred.

QNAP recommends enabling the smart blacklist in Proxy Server to prevent accidental access to malicious websites.
