Details

Important
QTS 6 supports HA for QVR Surveillance 3.0, though throughput is reduced by 50% to maintain cluster synchronization. We recommend using QVR Center for a better Failover Function for QVR Surveillance.

Backup via myQNAPcloud Surveillance will continue when you:

  • Create a HA cluster
  • Perform a Switchover (automatically or manually)
  • Remove a HA cluster

After you assign a license for backing up QVR Surveillance recordings to myQNAPcloud Surveillance, the Backup Channel & Type will keep uploading recordings according to your settings. In the myQNAPcloud Surveillance Portal, the original server name will be replaced by the cluster name after the cluster is created and data synchronization is complete.

However, recordings might appear to be from separate servers in the recording viewer tab when the listed incidents above happen.

Besides HA Manager, which prepares your servers for crisis recovery, QVR Center provides seamless recording failover functions that work perfectly with QVR Surveillance as NVR and QVR Client to access live view or playback.
