Which network ports does HDP for PC/VM use?

Starting from version 2.3.1, the product previously known as HDP has been renamed to HDP for PC/VM.


TCP Ports Used by HDP for PC/VM

To backup/restore your virtual machine or Windows PC/Server, HDP for PC/VM uses the specific TCP ports listed below. Ensure that these TCP ports are available for HDP for PC/VM to use.

On your NAS:

Ensure the following ports are available on your NAS:

  • 8080 (for HTTP connections)
  • 443 (for HTTPS connections)
  • 9103

On VMware virtual machines:

Ensure the following ports are available on your VMware virtual machine:

  • vCenter Server
  • ESXi host

On HyperV virtual machines:

Ensure the following ports are available on your HyperV virtual machine:

  • 5985
  • 9102 (for HDP for PC/VM 1.4 and earlier)
  • 11173 (for HDP for PC/VM 2.0 and later)

On your Windows PC/Server (HDP PC Agent, HDP for PC/VM 2.0 and later):

Ensure the following ports are available on your Windows PC/server when using HDP PC Agent and HDP for PC/VM 2.0 (and later):

  • 11172
  • 11173
