How do I open a technical support ticket with QNAP?

Details

There are two ways to create a technical support ticket with QNAP.

Opening a support ticket via the Helpdesk application
  1. Log in to your QNAP device.
  2. Open Helpdesk.
  3. Go to Help Request.
  4. If prompted, log in with your QNAP ID.
  5. Fill out the form.
    Please enter as much detail as possible.
    1. Make sure to enter all required fields.
    2. Optional: Select I am allowing QNAP Support to access my system logs.
      System logs help QNAP Support assess issues on your device and provide appropriate timely solutions.
    3. Optional: Attach related files such as screenshots or debug logs.
  6. Click Submit.
    Helpdesk sends the support ticket to QNAP Support.
Opening a support ticket via the QNAP Service Portal
  1. Download logs from your device.
    Tip
    You can download logs via Heldesk or via SSH.
  2. Go to the QNAP Service Portal.
  3. Sign in with your QNAP ID.
  4. If the webpage does not automatically redirect to a new support ticket form, go to Support and click Create Support Ticket.
  5. Fill out the form.
    1. Make sure to enter all required fields.
    2. Attach the logs you downloaded.
    3. Optional: Attach additional files such as screenshots.
  6. Click Submit.
    The webpage sends the support ticket to QNAP Support.
