What to do if you cannot access QIoT Suite Lite?

When you start QIoT Suite Lite, background services need some time to fully load. If you try to access QIoT Suite Lite during this time you will see the following error messages:


If these messages persist, check your network access permissions in Control Panel > System > Security > Allow/Deny List. If "Allow connections from the list only" is selected, this may cause issues with connecting to QIoT Suite Lite. For more information, check https://www.qnap.com/go/how-to/faq/con_show.php?cid=837

You can also follow the below steps to save the Debug Log for contacting the QNAP Helpdesk:

  1. Connect to your NAS via SSH. For more information, check https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/knowledge-base/article/how-to-access-qnap-nas-by-ssh
  2. Enter the below commands (your NAS must have access to the Internet to use these commands):
    cd /share/Public && \
    curl -k -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/qnap-dev/qnap-qiot-sdks/master/debug/qiotlogs.sh | \
    sh && gzip qiotdebug.tar
  3. Log in to QTS and open File Station. In the "Public" folder, you will find a file named "qiotdebug.tar.gz". This file can be passed to the QNAP Helpdesk for troubleshooting via the Helpdesk app.
