QTS 4.2 Security
2-step Verification
Brings Stronger Security
2-step verification adds a key layer of security to the data on your NAS. When activated, anyone who logs in to QTS needs to enter a one-time verification code after their username and password. To attain the verification code, an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator for Android/iOS or Authenticator for Windows Phone) must be installed on the user's mobile device. This ensures that only authorized users can access the data on your NAS.

Protect Shared Folders Using
AES 256-bit Encryption
In addition to volume-based encryption, you can now protect shared folders with AES 256-bit encryption. A security key or password is required to access any data in the shared folder, preventing unauthorized access and data breaches.
* The folder encryption is only supported for all x86 models.

Receive Mobile Alerts at Anytime
Receiving notifications from your NAS when a warning or error occurs helps users to instantly react to ensure data security. With QTS 4.2, you can activate the push service to get first-hand notifications with the Qmanager mobile app. You can also configure what types of system events to send out alert notifications for–a warning or error.

Enhanced Security
for VPN Server via L2TP/IPsec
