Important Notes

  • QuTS hero does not support downgrading from h4.5.4 to h4.5.3 or earlier.

Fixed Issues

  • After login, sometimes it would take a longer time to load the desktop when QuTS hero was requesting certain app information.
  • iSCSI & Fibre Channel could not display alias and WWPNs (worldwide port names) information in LUN Masking after users added initiators.
  • Storage & Snapshots could not display Snapshot Replica jobs if shared folder names contained the & character (ampersand).
  • The shared folder capacities displayed in Storage & Snapshots could not match those displayed in Paessler SNMP Tester and PRTG Network Monitor.
  • Users could not view adapter information when creating SnapSync jobs.
  • Administrators could not edit shared folder permissions for domain users after enabling trusted domains in Control Panel when such domains were not available.
  • Memory usage would keep increasing when users accessed shared folders via SMB.
  • After Snapshot Replica jobs, encrypted shared folders would become unlocked on the destination NAS even though the Snapshot Vault interface still displayed "locked".
  • Users could successfully create a shared folder named "System". (Normally, such a name is reserved for the system and cannot be used.)
  • RAID rebuilding could not complete if users replaced disks during the rebuilding process and restarted the NAS.
  • Users could not transfer files via SMB after enabling kernel-mode SMB daemon.
  • In Windows 10, users could not successfully copy files from SMB shared folders that had long file paths.
  • Quota errors would occur even when administrators did not enable storage quota settings.
  • Users could not access files via SMB after accessing and modifying these files via AFP.
  • File Station could not sort certain folder names in ascending order.
  • Users could not open Storage & Snapshots by clicking links on the Desktop Dashboard.
  • Users could not create VJBOD disks due to an incorrect error message about firmware update.
  • Fixed a minor security issue.

Other Changes

Storage & Snapshots
  • To ensure data security, system stability, and storage performance, the maximum number of drives for a single RAID group is now 16 (applicable to RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID TP, and subgroups of RAID 50 and RAID 60). Nevertheless, users can combine multiple RAID groups into a large storage pool that contains more than 16 drives, using RAID 50, RAID 60, or RAID 10 as the RAID configuration. This enhancement will only be applied to new RAID groups. All existing RAID groups and storage systems will not be affected.
