Important Notes

New Features

  • Added functionality and user setting that enable storage pools to be automatically optimized after creation.

Enhancements

  • Added OS display if the OS is QuTS hero for the host server and destination device in SnapSync jobs, and a warning message to upgrade the OS on the destination device if incompatible.
  • Clarified SnapSync job status definitions.
  • Improved the performance of SAMBA when reading a large number of files.
  • Added a prompt for users to restart the system after they modify time zone, system, or NTP settings, in order to maintain data consistency.
  • When a user is configuring a new job and cannot select a shared folder as the destination, an infotip now appears to guide the user to first disable the snapshot schedule associated with the shared folder, in order to free it up for use in the new job.
  • Added the ability and option to auto-select source and destination IP addresses, and also the option for users to manually set up failover IP addresses.
  • Improved data security in async mode.
  • iSER now supports HA.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where SSD cache could not be created on the QM2 expansion card, by adding a message alerting users of a corrupted partition and guiding users to manually clean and reinitialize the disk.
  • The giveback process would get stuck under certain circumstances when the NAS was in takeover mode.
  • NFS access would become slow when the system vnode limit had been reached.
  • SnapSync jobs were still shown to be in progress in Background Tasks after they had already finished running.
  • When a firmware upgrade failed, the firmware information on a disk was not properly reverted, causing future migration setup failures.
  • Clarified a message that misled users to think a firmware upgrade had been attempted, but actually indicated that a live update check failed due to a bad network connection.
  • Fixed a single controller disk issue that occurred in a weekly performance test.
  • VAAI status was inconsistent between controllers after mounting a LUN on a dual controller NAS.
  • The NAS would unexpectedly switch to takeover or giveback mode, causing Hyper-V environments to go down.
  • Under certain conditions, real-time resumption of SnapSync jobs would fail after HA giveback.
  • Pool status was incorrectly displayed under certain circumstances.
  • RAID pools were not properly rebuilt when replacing a disk under a certain condition.
  • Disk status was incorrectly displayed when a storage controller was in takeover mode.
  • The AD service could not be connected under certain conditions.
  • Could not access shared folder via SMB after NAS was rebooted.
  • An anomalous error would occur when restoring large files from a snapshot.
  • Only one namespace on a multi-namespace M.2 SSD could be detected in one of the PCIe slots.
  • Fixed some security issues.
  • Fixed several minor bugs.
