Why am I having problems using Windows 10 “Backup and Restore” with my NAS?

Based on our testing, Backup and Restore in Windows 7 is compatible with QNAP NAS. However, Backup and Restore in Windows 10 is not fully compatible.

According to the following Microsoft documentation, Backup and Restore is deprecated in Windows 10. Microsoft recommends that “Windows 10 users use full-disk backup solutions from other vendors”:
