Why can't I upload files with long file names to encrypted folders or enable encryption on a folder containing long file names?

Background
Encrypted folders have the following maximum character limits for their files:
- File name: 143 characters
- File path: 2048 characters
If your file has a file name over 143 characters, or if the file path in the encrypted folder would end up exceeding 2048 characters, then you won't be able to upload the file to the encrypted folder or any subfolder inside the encrypted folder.
Similarly, you cannot enable encryption on a folder that contains any files exceeding the above limits.
In contrast, unencrypted folders have a maximum file name limit of 255 characters (in EXT4 format).
Solution
If you are unable to move or upload files to an encrypted folder due to the file name limit, make sure the file names have a maximum of 143 characters only.
If that still doesn't work, also make sure the file paths end up with a maximum of 2048 characters only.
