Some models have dedicated drive bays/slots that are optimized for SSD caching. The noted SSD bays/slots are optimized for SSD caching.
- Note: The maximum SSD cache size for ARM-based NAS is 1 TB. The maximum SSD cache size for x86-based NAS is 4TB.
- If you intend to use SSDs as storage instead of caching, then an SSD can be installed in any drive bay.
