Does QFinder Pro Support Apple Silicon(ARM) Mac Natively?

Last modified date: 2026-05-08

Applicable Products

  • Qfinder Pro for macOS

Scenario

With Apple announcing the deprecation of Rosetta 2 translation technology, Mac users with Apple Silicon chips are concerned that Qfinder Pro — previously built for Intel (x86) only — will stop working on their Apple Silicon Mac. Without Rosetta, Intel-only apps cannot run on Apple Silicon Macs.

Solution

No, Qfinder Pro will NOT stop working. Starting from version 7.13.1, Qfinder Pro is a native Universal macOS application that runs natively on both Intel (x86) and Apple Silicon (ARM) Mac computers — no Rosetta required.

Step 1: Check Your Current Qfinder Pro Version

  1. Open Qfinder Pro on your Mac.
  2. Go to Help → About Qfinder Pro.
  3. Check the version number.

If your version is 7.13.1 or later, you are already running the native Universal build. No action needed.

Step 2: Update Qfinder Pro (If Below 7.13.1)

  1. Go to the QNAP official download page:
  2. Under Qfinder Pro, click the Mac download link.
  3. Download and install the latest version (currently 7.13.2).
  4. After installation, Qfinder Pro will run natively on your Apple Silicon Mac without Rosetta.

Key Release Note

From the official Qfinder Pro release notes (Mac):

### 7.13.1
[Improvement]

  • Qfinder Pro is now a native universal macOS application that can be installed on both Intel (x86) and Apple Silicon (ARM) Mac computers.
