In vSphere Client, I get the following error when trying to mount an NFSv4 datastore: “nfsgssd Fail: Failed to get FQDN error Name or service not know”. How can I resolve this issue?

To resolve this error, add all NAS IP addresses to the domain’s DNS server. Then try to mount the datastore again.

1. Make a note of all NAS IP addresses at Network & Virtual Switch > Network > Interfaces.

2. Add all NAS IP addresses to the domain’s DNS server in both Forward and Reverse Lookup Zones

3. In vSphere Client, remount the datastore using Kerberos.
