The QXP-1630S-3816 is a PCIe SAS HBA expansion card designed for expanding QNAP NAS storage capacity by connecting TL SAS JBOD enclosures. Ideal for creating a highly reliable IT infrastructure, this SAS-based solution supports demanding workloads such as virtualization, surveillance, big data, video editing, and TV broadcast storage.

With PCIe Gen 4 x8 support and a smaller form factor than its predecessor, the QXP-1630S-3816 is compatible with a wider range of QNAP NAS models.

Expand storage capacity up to 4.6PB

A NAS with a QXP-1630S-3816 expansion card can be daisy-chained with up to 16 units of TL SAS JBOD enclosures.

Note: QNAP calculates the effective capacity assuming RAID 60 with 24TB hard drives, PB-to-PiB conversion, and using storage utilization processes such as pool over-provisioning.

Flexible port configuration

By managing multipath or link aggregation with NAS and its connected expansion units, the QXP-1630S-3816 effectively balance data transfer loads, ensuring uninterrupted system services and preventing backup failures.
