What should I do before relocating my NAS to a different network environment or replacing my router with a new network?

Scenarios
When the NAS has been moved to a new network environment, or the existing environment had their router replaced, the settings applied on the NAS may not correspond to the new network environment. This may cause issues when trying to connect to the NAS again.
Workaround
One way to avoid this issue is to configure one of the NAS network interface to obtain IP via DHCP server. This can ensure the interface can be found in the new network environment:
a. For HAL and QuTS Hero Firmware version (4.3.6 and later)
- Launch the Network & Virtual Switch
- Navigate to Network > Interface
- Click the vertical ellipsis “⋮” icon of the active adapter, then select “Configure”
- At the IPv4 tab, select the button “Obtain IP Address Settings via DHCP”
- At the IPv6 tab, select the button “disable”
- Click “Apply” to apply the changes made
b. For Legacy Firmware version (4.3.5 and older)
- Go to Control Panel
- Navigate to Network
- Click the Edit icon of the active Interface
- At the “Network parameters” tab, select the button of “Obtain IP Address Settings via DHCP”
- Click “Apply” to apply the changes made
