Are QNAP software licenses refundable and how do I request it?
Applicable Products
- Perpetual Licenses (e.g., QVR Pro licenses, CAYIN licenses)
- Subscription Licenses (e.g., McAfee Antivirus, DA Drive Analyzer)
Important: Refund is not applicable for myQNAPcloud Storage series products, including:
- myQNAPcloud Storage
- myQNAPcloud One
- myQNAPcloud Surveillance
Conditions
Check the conditions below to ensure your refund request is eligible:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.
- The license must remain in Available or Deactivated status.
- Licenses that have been activated on a NAS device are not eligible for a refund.
- myQNAPcloud Storage series products are not eligible for a refund.
Procedure
To request a refund through the QNAP Software Store:
- Log in to the QNAP Software Store.
- Click the account icon in the top-right corner and select My Orders.
- Locate the order you want to return.
- Under the Operations column, click Return Order.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application.
- Refunds are typically processed within 7–10 working days.
Notes
- For orders created on the same day, allow 36 hours for system synchronization. The Return Order button will appear only after this period.
- All myQNAPcloud Storage series products are non-refundable. The Return Order button will not be displayed for these products.
- If the license is activated, you must deactivate it before submitting a refund request.
