File Station Adds Integration
with Cloud Services
Now you can use File Station to centrally manage files not just on your NAS but also on public and other cloud solutions. Accessing and transferring files between your NAS and other devices has never been easier. You can also view files with Office Online and Google Docs or directly open them with a Google Chrome office extension. More sharing options are also added to File Station, offering diverse methods to share files the way you like.

Easy Sharing
Easily share files via email, CloudLink, and a shared space where your friends can upload files after receiving a link from you. You also can share a file directly with other NAS users, and they can see the shared file in "Share with me" whenever they use File Station.

View Google Docs & Office Files
Open your office files directly with a Google Chrome office extension, and also view your files on Google Docs or Office Online.

Remote Connection
Directly browse and transfer files between your NAS and public cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Box, Yandex Disk and Amazon Cloud Drive, or directly mount shared folders from a remote NAS on a local NAS using FTP, CIFS/SMB and WebDAV.

New Media Viewer
The new media viewer provides a frameless mode for you to enjoy a better browsing experience. As you browse your collection, you can directly choose one and set it as QTS wallpaper in a click.
Connect and Overview Multiple NAS
with myQNAPcloud
With QTS 4.2, myQNAPcloud is made smarter and more secure for remote access. The new dashboard demonstrates a clear overview of all your NAS with information including model names, firmware versions, IP addresses, and even allows you to mark devices for quick access. You can preview files with Google Docs and Office Online and upload files by drag-and-drop to increase work efficiency. File sharing over the cloud becomes more secure with myQNAPcloud ID (QID) control, ensuring only authorized users can access your files. Additional myQNAPcloud SSL certificates* can be purchased to bring safer data transmission when connecting your NAS via DDNS. You can also choose whom to share directly from your Google contacts or share via File Station. All your sharing records will be centralized for future reference.

Qsirch – A Powerful Search Engine
in Your NAS
Qsirch performs as a powerful full-text search tool that helps you to easily find specific files, including documents, movies, songs and photos on your QNAP NAS. By using the TF-IDF algorithm, you can search while typing and easily identify files with categories, thumbnail preview and list view. Qsirch effectively increases productivity and work efficiency for file searching.

Use Qsync to Increase Efficiency
for Group Collaboration
Qsync performance is greatly boosted in QTS 4.2, with up to double the upload speed for individual users and up to 24 times faster for group users. With central configuration mode, you can directly manage user privileges, set up Qsync client configurations, and apply customized or default settings effortlessly to all devices at once from one device. If your NAS is stolen or lost, you can remotely erase the Qsync folder to avoid data breaches, and even restore it after you have retrieved the device. Synchronization can also be enabled on shared folders to greatly increase group work efficiency.

Centrally Manage Multiple NAS
with Q’center
Q'center (available as an app and virtual appliance) turns a QNAP NAS (or a server) into a central management system for multiple NAS across multiple sites. IT administrators can use Q’center to monitor system logs, track server usage history, manage firmware updates, and enjoy benefits including ease-of-use, cost-efficiency, convenience and flexibility. Q’center can also be installed as Virtual Appliance on Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere for flexible or large deployments. With NAT Router bypass, establishing Q’center connections with other QNAP NAS in different locations becomes extremely easy as you do not need to set up complicated VPN networks anymore.
