Why do I encounter an error message "check the Internet connect.(4001)" while downloading the free Windows virtual machine in Virtualization Station 3

Cause
The reason behind this error message is that Microsoft has stopped supporting all virtual machine downloads, including those for Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. These virtual machines were previously offered for free to developers to test their applications on different versions of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. They were made available for download through the Microsoft Edge Developer website, and they were primarily intended for testing web applications on older versions of Internet Explorer.
As a result of Microsoft's decision to discontinue virtual machine downloads, the "Try a free Windows VM" button in Virtualization Station 3 has malfunctioned. This button will also be removed in Virtualization Station 4. Previously, the virtual machine list that was available for download included IE8 on Win7 (×86), IE9 on Win7 (×86), IE10 on Win7 (x86), IE11 on Win7 (×86), IE11 on Win81 (x86), and MSEdge on Win10 (×64) Stable 1809.
