New Features

• The Recycle Bin now has a customizable retention time. Files are automatically deleted when they have been in the bin for longer than the retention time.
• You can now limit the maximum number of SMB connections from a single user, in order to avoid performance issues and disconnections.
• Added WORM Lock Delay setting. A file added to a WORM shared folder can be modified within the lock delay time period. After this time is exceeded, the file automatically becomes locked and unmodifiable. Each time the file is modified, the lock delay time is reset.

Enhancements

• If creating a snapshot fails due to low storage space, the UI now displays the reason and how much free storage space is required.
• Optimized SMB performance when browsing or searching folders containing very large numbers of files.
• Deleting a share folder or LUN now creates a background task, to allow QES to delete large numbers of files or snapshots more seamlessly.
• Removed the News section from the Dashboard, to avoid continuous connections to the QNAP RSS news feed.
• QES now creates event log messages when a storage pool is suspended.
• Improved real-time Snapsync security.
• Improved the error handling when QES is unable to perform an operation on a LUN.

Fixed Issues

• On the Quota screen, sorting by clicking any of the column headers did not work.
• Under certain conditions, QES could not display Active Directory groups.
• Creating a SnapSync job failed if there were Chinese characters in the source or destination folder name.
• On certain screens, the UI did not detect erroneous data.
• Several minor bug fixes.
