What is the maximum size supported for a flexible volume?

The maximum supported size for a flexible volume is 250 TB. Depending on certain system configurations, there are some limitations to this:

RAM

  • If the NAS has less than 4GB RAM, then the maximum capacity is 144TB.
  • If the NAS has at least 4GB RAM, then the maximum capacity is 250TB.
 

File System

When setting up a volume, under “File system option” you will find a “Bytes per inodes” value. Depending on what this value is set to, the maximum possible size of a volume will change accordingly.
