What is the maximum size supported for a flexible volume?
Applicable Firmware: QTS 4.4.2 and later versions
Answer
The maximum supported size for a flexible volume is 250 TB. Depending on certain system configurations, there are some limitations to this:
-
If the NAS has less than 4GB RAM, then the maximum capacity is 144TB.
-
If the NAS has at least 4GB RAM, then the maximum capacity is 250TB.
Depending on Bytes per inodes, the maximum possible size of a volume will change accordingly.
Bytes per Inode | Max. Size of Volume |
---|---|
4096 / 4K | 15.99 TB |
8192 / 8K | 31.99 TB |
16384 / 16K | 63.99 TB |
32768 / 32K | 127.99 TB |
65536 / 64K | 250 TB |
