QuTS hero
  • Added support for SR-IOV.
Storage
  • Added support for QNAP SSD Antiwear leveling (QSAL), which prevents simultaneous SSD failure for better data protection and system reliability.
  • Added support for SnapSync, which allows users to back up their NAS data to another QNAP NAS.
  • Users can now create a guaranteed snapshot space dedicated to each shared folder or LUN.
  • Users can now change thin provisioning to thick provisioning for a shared folder.
  • Users can now choose to optimize storage performance when creating a storage pool.

Storage
  • Enhanced the performance of file transfer via Samba.
  • IronWolf Health Management now supports the following Seagate disks: IronWolf (12 TB and 10 TB), IronWolf Pro (18 TB, 12 TB, and 10 TB), IronWolf 125 SSD, IronWolf Pro 125 SSD.
  • Storage & Snapshots now supports displaying the supported bus types of SSD slots.
Network & Virtual switch
  • Added support for iSER for the QXG-10G2T-NXE, QXG-10G2SF-NXE, and QXG-25G2SF-NXE expansion cards.
SNMP
  • Added support for a new SNMP MIB structure and new OIDs for various modules, such as storage, system, external devices, services, and applications.
VJBOD Cloud
  • Users can now manually specify a bucket name when creating a cloud volume/LUN if their privileges do not allow for browsing the bucket list.

Fixed Issues

  • QuTS hero would sometimes rebuild storage pools when the NAS restarted.
  • QuTS hero could still connect to an iSCSI target via a specific network interface even though users disabled iSCSI service for this network interface in Service Binding.
  • Users could still click the "Expand Capacity" button in Storage Pool Management even after QuTS hero finished expanding a RAID group, leading to no action.
  • QuTS hero could not keep protocol permissions for either local or domain users after restoring a shared folder from a snapshot.
  • QuTS hero could not keep folder permissions for an added user group.
  • Users could not open PDF or image files when directly accessing File Station in a web browser.
  • Users sometimes could not delete certain user groups from QuTS hero.
  • Users could not move files from the home folder of one user to the home folder of another user even with sufficient folder permissions.

Known Issues

  • Users could not connect to the network when the jumbo frame of a 2.5 GbE network adapter was not set to 1500 bytes.
