Overview
Ubuntu Linux Station provides a platform to install and run an Ubuntu Linux desktop on your QNAP device. The application provides a platform to install and run an Ubuntu Linux desktop on your QNAP device. You can remotely access and manage the desktop using the preconfigured VNC through a web browser, or by connecting a keyboard, monitor, and mouse directly to your device.

Why am I unable to update a running Ubuntu Linux desktop in the application?
All versions of the Ubuntu Linux desktops are slightly modified in Ubuntu Linux Station application to ensure compatibility with your QNAP devices. These modifications make the Ubuntu Linux desktop incompatible with the updated service provided within the operation system. New versions of the desktop are included in the application updates. If you are prompted to update the desktop when using the application, select “Don’t Upgrade”.
Why are the shared folders of the device no longer visible after updating the application?
Ubuntu Linux Station v2.3.0 (and later versions) no longer support shared folder shortcuts owing to security considerations and privacy enhancements. For instructions on how to access shared folders on your QNAP device, see the tutorial.
Can I enable HDMI output for Ubuntu Linux desktop 20.04 using the native HDMI port on the TVS-x63 and TVS-x73 NAS series?
Yes, you can remove the HDMI output restriction on the Ubuntu Linux desktop after updating the QTS or QuTS hero firmware to 5.0.0 (or later) on the TVS-x63 and TVS-x73 NAS series.
