  • Search bar

The full-text search engine Qsirch is now supported! You can find files by filename and text in documents.

Centralize all folders on clouds, remote servers, and external storage

Improve your work efficiency by connecting all your storage resources to QNAP NAS. Cloud storage, remote NAS, and USB storage devices can all be connected to provide central access and management for your files.

  • Cloud/remote server

Use HybridMount to mount clouds and remote servers. Access cloud files faster with local caching.

  • SD card

QNAP NAS natively supports the exFAT file system, allowing photographers to store and edit media on the NAS.

Securely share files with teammates

Files stored on the QNAP NAS can be easily shared with friends, families, and colleagues. To ensure the security of shared files, you can specify an expiration date for share links, add a password, and centrally manage all file share links.

Open and edit files online

You can directly open and edit documents (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) stored on the QNAP NAS with Microsoft Office Online or Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.

Recover NAS files with Snapshots

Snapshots are a great tool to protect data against ransomware and malware and can also be used for file versioning. File Station turns snapshots into folder-like structures so you can easily browse, locate, and retrieve files kept in snapshots. This not only makes data recovery fast but also intuitive for every NAS user.

Encrypt files to ensure data security and privacy

You can encrypt files with AES 256 encryption in File Station. Encrypted files use the .qenc format and can only be read by decrypting with a valid password in File Station or QENC Decrypter utilities for Windows/macOS/Ubuntu. This enhances security for data transfer and sharing by minimizing the chance of files being accessed by unauthorized people or systems. Mobile users with the Qfile app can to connect to their QNAP NAS for encryption/decryption for optimized all-round security.

Access, back up, and sync mobile files with Qfile Pro

The companion mobile app Qfile Pro allows you to remotely access your NAS files. It also is a handy tool for backing up and synchronizing mobile files such as photos, videos, and documents to your NAS. Qsync is also now available in Qfile Pro to provide effortless file sync between your linked devices!
