How do I send notifications for access logs and logs from a remote QuLog Center?

Release date: 2023-05-17

Applicable Products

Notification Center, QuLog Center

Overview

In Notification Center, you can create Event Notification Rules for local Event logs directly through options of applications and categories.

However there is no options for local access logs, remote event logs, and remote access logs. To send notifications for these logs, you must configure them separately.

Procedure

The following steps will create a log and notification for when the user test1 fails to log in to the NAS using HTTP/HTTPS.

  1. Open QuLog Center and go to Notification Settings.
  2. Select the Included Logs. To configure a log for a local NAS, select Local NAS - Access Log. To configure a log for a remote NAS, select QuLog Service - Access Log.
  3. Configure the filter criteria.
    1. User should include test1.
    2. Connection type should include HTTP and HTTPS.
    3. Action should be Failed to log in.
  4. Open Notification Center.
  5. Create an event notification rule and choose QuLog Center > Log Filter Criteria.
  6. Notification Center will send notifications to the specified recipient when user test1 fails to login to the NAS via HTTP/HTTPS.
