It is normal to see that Volume Shrink already takes a long time and stopped at certain progress, especially 52.7%. Volume shrinking depends on depends on the hardware you are using, how much the existing data needs to be re-allocated and the empty space can be used. The more data stored on the volume and the less empty space left, the longer it will take.

During volume shrinking, the volume is offline when the task is proceeding and the time can go up to 24 hours if you have a huge volume with TBs of files needs to be reallocated.

If you see volume shrink stops at some pint, recommend leaving the NAS running for 12 - 24 hours until the system reports the result.
