Answer

No. You cannot join a QTS or QuTS hero NAS to a QuTS MEGA cluster. You also cannot install QuTS MEGA on NAS models designed for QTS and QuTS hero.

QTS, QuTS hero, and QuTS MEGA are distinct operating systems with different architectures and file systems. Due to these fundamental differences, mixing these different operating systems in a cluster or converting between QTS/QuTS hero and QuTS MEGA is not supported.

QuTS MEGA is currently only supported on the following QNAP NAS models:

QSN-3000
QSN-3050
