FAQ
Whilst the NAS-based Qsirch is great for finding files located on a single NAS, Qsirch PC Edition differs by enabling file search across your Windows PC and multiple NAS from within the same application.
No. Qsirch PC Edition does not index the contents of external devices (USB drives, optical drives, etc) and network drives.
If you configure your NAS to be a cloud storage gateway (using HybridMount) then Qsirch PC Edition will include the cloud storage that is mounted to the NAS in its file search.
If you connect your cloud storage as a network drive using an official app provided by the cloud provider, then please see the following:
Google Backup and Sync, Dropbox local access mode, and OneDrive backup mode: After the cloud-based is copied to your computer, Qsirch PC Edition is able to search through its content.
Google File Stream, Dropbox smart sync mode, and OneDrive sync mode without backup: Qsirch PC Edition is unable to search through this data.
A license can only be activated on one computer at a time. If you log out from your QID on one computer you can activate the license on another computer. Please note that after logging out, all of the file indexing will be removed.
