Why are the parental control rules not filtering the selected web content?

Solution

If the configured parental control roles are not functioning, refer to the following troubleshooting tips.

  • Make sure the device you are using is on the device list for the correct parental controls role in QuRouter.
  • Ensure that the device you are using has not established a link with the required domain prior to configuring the web content filters in the parental control role.
  • Delete all browsing data, including cookies and web history.
  • Clear the DNS cache of the device you are using.
  • Ensure that the default gateway of the device you are using is the interface address of the router.
  • Check the DNS server information. If the server is configured to use an internal DNS (iDNS) server, make sure that the router's interface address is configured as the iDNS gateway.
