Why are the file and folder creation dates incorrect after editing data within an NFS mounted shared folder on macOS?

This is a known issue caused by mounting a folder via NFS and accessing it on macOS. This issue happens because the Network File System (NFS) protocol doesn’t store the creation date of files.
