Overview

Users may encounter a black screen when trying to access the VM console via the web interface. This issue arises from compatibility problems between Virtualization Station 4.0.0.278 and older QTS firmware versions (5.2.3 or earlier). These earlier versions lack essential updates required for stable display rendering, which prevents the console from displaying properly.


Solution

To fix the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Upgrade QTS Firmware to Version 5.2.4 or Later
    1. Navigate to Control Panel > System > Firmware Update.
    2. Click Check for Update or manually upload the latest firmware file.
  2. Restart your NAS after completing the firmware upgrade.
  3. Open Virtualization Station and try accessing the VM console again.

This process should restore normal functionality to the VM console and eliminate the black screen issue.
