What are the QVR Face camera setup requirements?

The accuracy of facial recognition in QVR Face depends highly on the camera settings and configuration. To achieve the best results, your cameras should meet the following requirements.

Location

Cameras should be placed in areas where people walk towards the cameras with their faces clearly visible in constant illumination.

Lighting

  • 450-550 lux.
  • The lightness of face should be constant. The background can’t be over explored or black.

Face angle

QVR Face allows up to 20 degrees tilted from the horizontal axis or the vertical axis.

Resolution

FHD (1080p) or better

Frame rate

  • For access control or attendance history systems, 5 FPS (or more) is recommended.
  • For real-time analysis, 15 FPS (or more) is recommended.
  • QVR Face supports up to 30 FPS.

Camera type

  • Fisheye and wide-angle cameras are not supported. Use other types of cameras.
  • Turn off image reinforcement function of camera eg. WDR, HDR, Sharpness.

Face Resolution

120*120 pixels
