How to Play Recorded Footage in QNAP VioStor NVR and QVP with QVR Pro Client via QVR Center

Overview

QVR Center is a CMS surveillance software to watch live footage, playback videos, and manage multiple QNAP NVR across not only QVP appliances, but also both new and legacy QNAP VMS.

Essential Requirements

QVR Center

New / legacy VMS:

  • QVR Pro or QVR Elite or QVP series NVR

  • VioStor NVR running QVR 5.1.5 or Surveillance Station 5.1.5

Adding QVR Pro, QVR Elite, and Surveillance Station to QVR Center

  1. Log into QVR Center.
    Note:

    The default user name and password are both "admin".

  2. Click +.

    The Add Server window appears.

  3. Specify the display name, server type, network address, user name, and password.
    Note:

    Specify the server type for better QVR Center management. The server types are: QVR Pro, QVR Elite, Surveillance Station 5.1.5, and QVR 5.1.5.

  4. Click Connect.
    Note:

    Click Add Server to add more servers.

  5. Click Apply.

    The information window appears.

Logging into QVR Center with QVR Pro Client

  1. Log into QVR Center.
  2. Click View Camera to log into QVR Pro Client.
    Note:

    The Get QVR Pro Client window will appear if QVR Pro Client is not installed.

  3. Click QVR Center.
  4. Specify the host server, user name, and password.
  5. Click Log In

    You are now logged into QVR Center.

Using QVR Pro Client to Play Recorded Footage with QVR Center

Drag a camera to the view layout.

You can see the Live/Playback for the server you added in QVR Center.
