Important Notes

  • For the best experience and optimal system performance, we recommend updating all available applications in the App Center after updating the firmware.

Security Updates

  • Applied multiple security updates to further enhance system security.

Enhancement

  • Added warning messages for immutable snapshot restrictions to help users understand the limitations when protected snapshots exist.
  • The system now requires Secure Deletion USB key verification before deleting a LUN that contains unexpired Immutable Snapshots.
  • Added an alert and guidance flow to Storage Manager when removing a shared folder from Control Panel that is protected by unexpired immutable snapshots or WORM shared folders.
  • Added an alert for active immutable snapshots and WORM shared folders when users attempt to reinitialize the NAS.
  • Added instructions and guidance in Storage Manager for various scenarios when a shared folder or a pool contains WORM shared folders or immutable snapshots.
  • Added support for Secure Deletion. Administrators need USB key files to delete the following items: (1) Enterprise WORM shared folders (2) LUNs or shared folders that contain or immutable snapshots that have not yet expired.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the Expand Pool wizard would display "RAID Group 1" as "RAID Group 10" when expanding a RAID 10 storage pool.
  • Fixed an issue where the Expand Pool wizard would allow users to select more than 2 disks when expanding a RAID 10 storage pool. (Expected behavior: users should only be able to select at most 2 disks)
  • Fixed an issue where an IPv6 static route next-hop was unexpectedly added as default gateway after network link state change.
  • Fixed an issue where after updating QuTS hero to h6.0.0.3500, a NAS in a non-internet environment would take a while to load the Desktop after user login.
  • Fixed an issue where app installation would occasionally fail under certain circumstances after updating QuTS hero to h6.0.0.
  • Fixed an issue where certain Japanese strings in Control Panel, Storage Manager, Snapshot Manager, iSCSI & Fibre Channel incorrectly aligned punctuation marks and some longer menu items were truncated.
  • Fixed an issue where the SnapSync page would become blank if a SnapSync job name contained more than 10 non-English characters.
  • Fixed an issue where the NAS would stop responding under a heavy NFS workload.
  • Fixed an issue where users could create two folders whose names only differed in case in the Home folder via SMB.
  • Fixed an issue where HybridDesk Station could not be started after updating QuTS hero to h6.0.1.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Multimedia Console from functioning normally.
  • Fixed an issue to improve the stability of Qtier storage pools.
  • Fixed an issue where users could not upload a folder containing subfolders to the NAS via WebDAV.
