2025-04-08
Applicable Models
- QHora-301W
- QHora-321
- QHora-322
- QMiro-201W
- QMiroPlus-201W
Important Notes
- SmartURL functions are unavailable in QuRouter versions earlier than 2.5 due to an SSL security upgrade in myQNAPcloud. To ensure continued access to SmartURL, update your device to QuRouter version 2.5.0 or later.
New Features
- WAN failover settings are now available in QuRouter, allowing you to configure load balancing by assigning interface weights according to network requirements. Additionally, you can designate primary and backup interfaces to maintain continuous connectivity during network disruptions.
- QuRouter now supports policy-based routing, allowing you to define custom routing rules based on specific traffic conditions. This feature provides greater control over network traffic management by directing packets through designated transmission paths.
- QuRouter now includes support for GeoIP Firewall, allowing you to block network connections to and from specified regions. This feature enhances network security by preventing unauthorized access based on geographic location.
- QuRouter now allows users to set the internet probe interval for WAN interfaces. Defining the interval improves the availability of multiple WAN connections and enhances failover responsiveness.
Enhancements
- The QHora-321 and QHora-322 routers now support up to 100 concurrent QVPN connections, improving scalability for remote access and ensuring an improved VPN infrastructure.
- QNAP has published guidelines on QuWAN SD-WAN network parameters, including organization, regions, and device roles. These guidelines explain how these parameters affect network architecture when adding a router to a QuWAN network. A link to the FAQ is available in the QuRouter interface under QuWAN Settings. You can also access the guidelines using the following link: https://www.qnap.com/go/how-to/faq/con_show.php?cid=3124.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed an issue where enabling STP on a QHora interface caused delays in a DHCP client obtaining an IP address and communicating with the LAN on a QHora router.
- Resolved an issue where port forwarding rules did not function as expected when more than 15 port numbers were configured.
- Fixed an issue where modifying the device name in QuRouter caused the SmartURL in myQNAPcloud to become inaccessible, preventing access to the QuRouter login page.
- Fixed an issue where the CAC (Channel Availability Check) timer did not start from 0 seconds when enabling or disabling virtual access point 2, causing QuRouter to display an incorrect elapsed time.
- Resolved an issue where the QuRouter firmware page displayed error code 500 when the device lost internet connectivity after joining a QuWAN network.
- Resolved an issue where logging in with your QNAP ID and adding your router to a QuWAN network could trigger an error code 10100 on the dashboard page.
- Resolved an issue where disconnecting or disabling the WAN interface after establishing a QuWAN connection triggered an error message indicating that the organization could not be found.
- Improved the QuRouter instructions to provide clearer guidance on the WPS operation, instructing users press and hold the WPS button for a few seconds until a beep is heard for a successful connection.
- Resolved an issue where disconnecting and reconnecting the WAN interface prevented the router from obtaining the DHCPv6 prefix delegation and LANv6 information.
- Fixed an issue where users were occasionally unable to access QuRouter through the router's SmartURL.
