Important Notes

• For stability reasons, QNAP prohibits any application downgrades.
• Older versions (1.x) cannot be upgraded to version 2.1.0 and later versions. Users using version 1.x can first upgrade to 2.0.0 then to later versions.
• All model names now start with QVP and end with a channel number.
• The default password for administrators is changed to the first MAC address of the NAS in uppercase letters and without special characters. For instance, if the first MAC address on the device is 00-08-9B-F6-15-75, then the default password is 00089BF61575. Administrators can log in the device via admin/00089BF615755.
• Use the QVP firmware for updates. Do not install QVR Pro, QVR Elite, or QVR Pro Client qpkgs to the system.

• Fix the issue that the QVP would hang when restarting during the upgrade.
