New Features

AirGap+ Backup Isolation
  • QSS and QSS Pro 4.3 now supports AirGap+, where the switch controls connectivity between the production NAS and the backup NAS. The switch OS links up the LAN interface only during backup operations, then automatically links it down when the transfer is finished. This controlled switching isolates the backup NAS, providing stronger protection against network threats.
Switch Integration with ADRA NDR
  • Users can now register their switch with ADRA NDR, an application running on QNAP QuCPE devices. When the switch is physically connected to a QuCPE, network traffic can be forwarded to ADRA NDR for analysis, giving users deeper visibility into internet activity and stronger threat detection.

Enhancement

LAG Support on ACL-Matched Ports
  • Users can now group ports with identical access control lists (ACL) settings into a link aggregation group (LAG) to improve bandwidth and redundancy.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed an issue where the switch behaved unexpectedly when a reboot was initiated from AMIZcloud.
  • Fixed an issue where packet forwarding and mirroring did not function as expected after modifying ACL deny entries.
  • Addressed an issue where the switch emitted pause packets using priority-based flow control (PFC) even when the destination port was not congested.
  • Resolved an issue where explicit congestion notification (ECN) occasionally did not work as expected during network congestion.
  • Addressed an issue where connecting the out-of-band (OOB) management port and the inband port to the same subnet could cause the OOB port to disconnect from clients outside the subnet after a reboot.
  • Fixed an issue where the live update prompt occasionally did not appear or respond as expected.
  • Fixed an issue where ACL rules could be overwritten after a firmware update, contrary to the intended behavior.
  • Fixed an issue where assigning more than four source ports in an ACL could incorrectly trigger the ACL limit.
  • Fixed an issue where certain ports could become unreachable after a reboot when rate limiting was enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where removing a LAG group from an MC-LAG cluster prevented the associated statistics from updating correctly.
