Why can't I transfer a file larger than 4GB directly from my phone, tablet or digital camera to the NAS via USB?

The MTP protocol used by QTS to connect smart devices using USB currently has a file size limit of 4GB.

To work around this issue, back up large files to a PC first and then copy them to the NAS. If you're using a smartphone or tablet, then you can also use our Qfile app to upload files to the NAS via Wifi.
