2024-05-30
Applicable Models
- QHora-301W
- QHora-321
- QHora-322
- QMiro-201W - QMiroPlus-201W
Important Notes
- Improved remote access with myQNAPcloud Link updates, enabling seamless integration and remote management of your QHora-301W and QMiro series routers through the cloud.
- Updating the QuRouter firmware to version 2.4.0 requires a corresponding update of the QuRouter mobile app to version 1.4.3 to support remote management capabilities.
- myQNAPcloud has updated its DDNS server in China, transitioning devices from "myqnapcloud.cn" to the new "mycloudnas.com" domain. Starting with this release, the domain name in QuRouter UI is "mycloudnas.com".
New Features
- Added support for route-based VPN, enabling the establishment of secure connections between QuWAN and non-QuWAN SD-WAN networks.
- Detailed instructions for configuring route-based VPN connections using QuWAN Orchestrator can be found in the following tutorials:
Route-based VPN setup between a QuWAN and UniFi device: https://www.qnap.com/go/how-to/tutorial/con_show.php?cid=546"
- QuRouter now supports IPv6 firewall rule customization, safeguarding your network against unauthorized connections.
- Users can now get access to the QuRouter Beta program to gain pre-release access to upcoming releases and enhancements. Provide valuable feedback on pre-release firmware to ensure it meets your needs.
Enhancements
- Optimized the QuWAN configuration for QuRouter devices. A dedicated page now identifies conflicting configurations that is preventing the device from joining QuWAN, streamlining troubleshooting and ensuring smooth integration.
- Service Port Management now displays reserved system service ports for clear identification and conflict prevention, ensuring smooth service communication.
- MAC address input validation expanded to support both colon (:) and hyphen (-) delimiters.
- Domain name validation enhanced for security rules (firewall, diagnostics, filtering). QuRouter verification now ensures that both domain name (e.g., example) and top-level domain (e.g., .com) are valid.
- Enhanced user experience by optimizing token management and eliminating redundant expiration warnings.
- Updated the IPv6 setup script to support environments without IPv6 prefixes or DHCPv6 Identity Association-No Address (IA_NA).
Other Change
- Implemented stateful LAN-to-LAN firewall for enhanced intelligent traffic management.
- To ensure smoother configuration management, QuRouter no longer unbinds your QNAP ID from the QuWAN network after restoring router configuration.
- QuRouter 2.4.0 enforces stricter backup file compatibility limitations. Only files created with firmware version 2.3.0 or later are recoverable after firmware updates.
Fixed Issues
- Fixed an issue that caused client sorting by IP address to be inaccurate. Clients are now sorted based on the decimal value of all four octets of their IP addresses, ensuring a consistent and logical order.
- Fixed an issue where some client details were missing after updating the firmware to version 2.3.0.260.
- Resolved an issue where QuRouter would incorrectly show the router as offline despite having the correct MAP-E or DSLite settings configured for use in Japan.
- Fixed an issue where accessing the management page with HTTPS within 3 minutes of booting the device resulted in an error message.
- Fixed a login issue that prevented successful authentication during the first login attempt, redirecting users to the login page again.
- Fixed a routing issue where multiple WAN connections using the same service port caused NAT loopback to only consider the first WAN IP for traffic forwarding, neglecting subsequent WAN IP addresses.
- Resolved an issue where disabling the LAN DHCP server prevented users from changing the LAN IP address.
- Addressed an issue that previously prevented websites with both HTTP and HTTPS prefixes (e.g., http:// or https://) from being accessed after enabling website filtering in parental control roles.
- Resolved an issue that caused duplicated log entries in QuWAN Orchestrator regarding firmware updates and router reboots after initiating firmware updates for QuRouter through QuWAN Orchestrator.
- Addressed an issue where users couldn't choose the desired site when adding their router to a QuWAN network if the selected organization contained more than 30 sites.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the traffic report from being displayed in the Connected Clients page.
- Resolved an issue that could prevent the wireless function from operating after setting a wireless schedule.
- Fixed an issue where the QHora-301W router might experience system instability after joining a QuWAN network with a 10G WAN connection and a 1G LAN client.
- Fixed an issue causing NTP time to be inaccurate on QMiro-201W routers configured as access points.
- Fixed an issue in QHora-301W routers, where previously after configuring the 10G-1 WAN interface, the LED status for the 10G-2 and LAN 1 ports would incorrectly change to orange.
